...one of the soldiers opened his side with a lance, and immediately there came out blood and water.

"The two rays," Jesus Himself explained to her one day, "denote blood and water"
Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to My mercy (Diary 300).*
Pause briefly, meditating on the Passion of Jesus....
Begin each Mercy Station with:

Eternal Father, I offer You...the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord...Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins, and those of the whole world.

         Day Experiences

The Hour of Great Mercy
I desire that the first Sunday after Easter be the Feast of Mercy (Divine Mercy Sunday)(Diary 299).
You expired Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.  O Fountain of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us (Diary 1319).

"As I have loved you so also should you love one another." (John 13:34).
Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as fount of mercy for us, I Trust in You.
The loss of each soul plunges Me into mortal sadness.  You always console Me when you pray for sinners.  The prayer most pleasing to Me is prayer for the conversion of sinners.  Know, My daughter, that this prayer is always heard and answered (Diary 1397).
Jesus I Love You too!

The Crown of Thorns

Have you ever given any thought to the Crown of Thorns?
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a
Crown of Thorns placed on your head? Have you ever thought what was more painful and agonizing to Jesus; the scourging, the Crown of Thorns, being nailed to the Cross or crucifixion? Have you ever wondered what effect the Crown of Thorns would have on Jesus?
 _____________________________________________

Imagine...the effect of the Crown of Thorns on Jesus' Head…
as we walk with Jesus...the Stations of Cross....

First Station– Jesus is condemned to death - the Crown of Thorns have already been placed and embedded in the Head of Jesus by the soldiers…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Second Station– Jesus accepts and carries His Cross – as He accepts the Cross for the first time, He is probably unaware of the weight of the Cross and how He is going to control and carry it.  He will find out in a painful and agonizing moment that He will need to keep the Cross away from the Crown of Thorns.  This means He will have to carry the Cross in a way that will keep it from pressing the Crown of Thorns into His Head…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Third Station– Jesus falls the first time – How did Jesus fall?  Where was the Cross when He fell?  Did the Cross fall on top of Him?  Did the Cross end up upon Jesus once again pressing the Crown of Thorns into His Head? …Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Fourth Station– Jesus meets His Mother – Pictures show the Cross is on Jesus’ shoulder, which would be hard to believe, knowing that the pain of the Cross pressing against the Crown of Thorns in His Head would make it nearly impossible for Him to carry the Cross that way…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Fifth Station– Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry the Cross – Finally! Jesus does not have to carry the Cross…but, for how long? …Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Sixth Station– Veronica wipes the Face of Jesus – Pictures indicate Jesus is once again carrying the Cross and having learned a painful and agonizing lesson, Jesus must manage to keep the Cross from pressing the Crown of Thorns into His Head, but in His weakened state, how does He do that? …Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Seventh Station– Jesus falls a second time – Once again, how does Jesus manage to keep the Cross from falling on top of Him and pressing the Crown of Thorns into His Head…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Eighth Station- Jesus speaks to the Women of Jerusalem – While speaking to the women Jesus must continue to carefully keep the Cross from pressing the Crown of Thorns into His Head…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Ninth Station– Jesus falls a third time – Is Jesus actually thinking about the Cross and if it may fall on top of Him?…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Tenth Station– Jesus is stripped of His garments – for the moment Jesus is free from the Cross…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Eleventh Station– Jesus is nailed to the Cross – It would be hard to imagine the soldiers did not throw Jesus upon the Cross in order to nail His Hands and Feet.  It is impossible to think that Jesus was able to keep His Head up from the Cross…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Twelfth Station– Jesus dies on the Cross – From being nailed to the Cross and hoisted up, the suffering and agonizing between three and six hours, Jesus would be forced to keep His Head down in order not to inflict the pain of the Crown of Thorns on Himself.  "Father, into Your hands I commend My Spirit." It is ended! Jesus has expired…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Thirteenth Station– Jesus is taken down from the Cross – Now the opportunity to remove the Crown of Thorns but, that would not be easy…Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Fourteenth Station– Jesus is laid in the sepulcher.... The Crown of Thorns is no longer on His Head...Jesus is laid to rest...Oh Dear Jesus, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Almighty God, whose most Dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified:  Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen.
